About

Dr. Maria Mba Wright is a board-certified pediatrician with a passion for closing gaps in medical care for vulnerable individuals. After a 20-year career as a general pediatrician for a large national managed care system and in private practice, she is now working for the state of California as a physician consultant for the Golden Gate Regional Center in San Francisco. Regional Centers are non-profit agencies that provide support and care for individuals with disabilities statewide. 

Additionally, she is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of “Closing Care Gaps, LLC.”
Through this entity, Dr. Mba Wright expresses her passion for improving care for all, especially neurodiverse individuals. The company’s work includes medical technology, publishing, community outreach, and medical education through media.

Her current project include:

Child reading a comic book about neurodiverse characters

Publishing a children’s comic book

celebrating neurodiverse children
and highlighting the indigenous culture of the Native Americans.
